Where do Hair/Makeup Previews take place? How long are they?

Hair and Makeup previews are done during the week out of my studio in Norwalk, CT during the bridal season (May-October). Weekend dates become available and are limited during the off season. Traveling on-site for a hair or makeup preview is optional with an additional travel fee. Hair and Makeup previews can take up to 3 1/2 hours! Hair previews or Makeup previews alone can take up to 1 1/2 hours.

Can I book a preview before reserving my date?

Yes, you can! Keep in mind due to high demand, I cannot hold your wedding date without a booking reservation deposit. If we are able to make the preview scheduled for the same week we chat, it is possible to book your preview before hand but not guaranteed to hold your wedding date.

Are previews required to book?

Previews are not required to book. However they are highly recommended! During our preview is when we get to know each other :) and I love that. It is important to discuss your vision and translate that vision together so we have a clear picture in mind for your wedding day. Just like trying on a dress, you may come to your preview with an exact look in mind but end up loving something you didn't think you would!

Is there a booking minimum?

There is a minimum booking fee of $1000 or 6 services (travel not included) during bridal season (may-october). What does that mean?

Bride Hair and Makeup + 4 other services or Bride Hair OR Makeup + 5 other services.

Other Services meaning Hair or Makeup. 1 person needing hair and makeup = 2 services.

If you do not meet the booking fee you may use the credit for an additional reception style or touchup.

Can someone stay for touchups?

Yes! Absolutely. I can stay behind after our initial services have been completed for touching up. An hourly rate would be applied to stay.

How long does a service take for a bride, bridesmaids + mothers?

A service for both hair and makeup for a bride can take up to 2 1/2 hours. A service for a bridesmaids and mothers take 40-45 mins.

What does the booking process look like?

Send an inquiry > be sure I’m available for you > set up a phone chat > I will send over a welcome email and contract to review > sign contract and send retainer to hold your date > you’ll be officially reserved > set up preview.

Is it okay if I’m not sure how many services yet?

Yes, absolutely. Send over an estimate with your inquiry and we will finalize details 6 months before your wedding date.

Can I make changes to my booking after I reserve my date?

You can add on additional services but you cannot remove. If you’re unsure about how many services are needed, exclude them from your inquiry and we can add them in later when we finalize your details. If your location changes for getting ready, that’s okay. If the location needs to be re-quoted for travel, we can do so.

Does a blow out cost less?

We charge a flat fee for all hairstyles. A blowout would take just as much time (45mins)

I just want a very simple natural makeup, does this cost less?

We charge a flat fee for all makeup appointments. Natural makeup takes just as long, and uses more skill!
